There's
a tradition among those who hang out at airports and
around aircraft and aviation - especially after a day
of flying, but mostly during bad weather or while
waiting to fly again - of standing around in the hangar (or
on the flying field) telling stories. Partly this is to
relay oral history about flying to younger pilots, partly
to instruct, even sometimes to brag, but mostly to tell
about the joys and trials and tribulations of aviating.
